Carmen A. Cortés Ramos
Ms. Cortes has near 15 years of legal experience counseling individuals, PYMES (Small and Medium Enterprises), and Non Governmental Organizations. She also has experience evaluating evidence and preparing witnesses for FDA consent decrees negotiated by pharmaceutical companies and served as Regulatory and Legal Advisor for a Consulting Firm with multiple services divisions which included: validation, quality, regulatory services, and a testing laboratory. Ms. Cortes has an Industrial Engineering Bachelor’s degree and worked as a Consultant for different pharmaceutical companies for over 7 years. Ms. Cortés also worked as Director of the Career Development Office of the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and has been the Coordinator and Adjunct Professor of the Legal Externship Semester Courses since 2013. She has also designed and managed disaster recovery projects with the UPR School of Law. Ms. Cortés obtained her law degree from the University of Puerto Rico and her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. Her legal experience includes disaster recovery legal project management, litigation, contracts, regulatory compliance, labor, administrative agencies hearings, and notary law matters. Cortes is admitted to the Puerto Rico State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
